Hunger & Homeless Awareness Week

A week of events to raise funds, goods, and awareness.

Join Seeds of Hope as they reach out in the community to raise awareness about Hunger & Homelessness in Ross County.

November 16th- Kick Off with Seasonal Craft Bazaar
November 17th- Church Service at Radius at The Loft a meal will be served afterwards.
November 18th- 10% Day at Chillicothe Carpet
November 19th- 10% Day at Coffee Central Cafe
November 20th- 10% Day at 7 Miles Smokehouse
November 21st- 10% Day at Tumbleweed
November 22nd- One Night Without a Home in Yoctangee Park (Event by Ross County Community Action)
November 23rd- 10% Day at Hooks Pizza On The Hill
November 24th- Church Service at Elisha House all are welcome

All week donations of food, hats, coats, gloves, and scarves can be dropped off at Westside Media W. Second Street and Atomic Credit Union on N. Bridge Street.

Marketing & Events Meeting

Seeds of Hope will be holding a Marketing & Events Meeting on Tuesday, September 24th at 5pm at the Chamber of Commerce offices on Main St. This meeting is intended for anyone interested in donating their time for upcoming events and areas where assistance is needed. We will also be discussing a few different marketing programs that we will be seeking volunteers for.

Great News!

Great news! We were cleared after our inspection and we are now beginning intake. Below is a small list from Debbie our shelter director of things she is currently in need of for the shelter. We are looking for a few volunteers to cover shifts at the shelter and mentors as well.

Food Drive

Seeds of Hope a local organization dedicated to helping the homeless population in and around Ross County is preparing for intake at their new shelter. They are currently seeking donations of food, children’s items, and cleaning supplies.

Items can be dropped off at 322 Church St.
8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. (August 29th)
10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. (August 30th)
If unable to drop off items at above times please call 740-663-7005 to schedule drop off.

Seeds of Hope Charity Week

On July 30th from 11am-10pm anyone can come to Max & Erma's and ask to sit in the Seeds of Hope section and 20% of their bill will go towards Seeds of Hope. There will also be a main event on August 3rd at Max & Erma's featuring a dunk tank, 12 local charity organizations, kids games, and more.

Looking to Donate?

Looking to donate clothes, housing items, and more to Seeds of Hope? The best way for your items to benefit Seeds of Hope is to take them to Good Will (181 N Bridge St Chillicothe) and request a donation slip. Mail the completed donation slip to PO Box 101 Chillicothe, OH 45601. Seeds of Hope will receive credit for your donations and with those credits, Seeds of Hope clients can shop for items needed. We greatly appreciate your support. A big thank you to all our awesome donors!

We Have a Shelter!

Over the course of the next few weeks we will be moving into our new shelter located on Church Street.
